Embracing change through travel and culinary discovery

After wandering the Albert Cuypmarkt market stalls we sat down for an exotic lunch at Bazar, hidden behind the main row of market stalls. Recommended to me by a local friend, this was a delicious turkish restaurant with a very cool, eclectic atmosphere. Prices are really good here too. We chose one of the several platters to share and we weren’t disappointed, the cheesecake was definitely the highlight!

In Amsterdam south Le Pain Quotidien is a cosy and fairly busy organic cafe. With a tasty selection of breakfast, brunch and meals as well as cabinet food, everything here looked and smelt delicious. I went with smashed avo on toast with chia seeds and turmeric and this was very tasty, simple but delicious and all organic ingredients. They also have a great house made lemonade with that traditional tart taste.
