Embracing change through travel and culinary discovery

The Bergamo high city has a great selection of bakeries and traditional food. I loved this bakery as the selection was so tempting I went in a sampled even though I had already packed my lunch! I had the fig bread which was delicious and something I hadn’t tried before, it was wonderfully soft and subtly sweet.

Polenta is a traditional dish in Bergamo and to celebrate this they have the very first specialised polenta takeaway shop. Again I ahd already packed a lunch but since I had such a short time in Bergamo I had to try their traditional polenta. I went straight traditional and got the polenta poured of taleggio cheese, it looks like nothing special but once you dig in to it and discover the strong melted cheese underneath it is quite something. A very homely feeling meal and fairly cheap and filling. They also offer various meat options.
