Peschiera del Garda
After all of my hard work with help Exchange I decided I needed a break and what better place to step back and take in the sun and the holiday atmosphere than Lake Garda and the town of Peschiera Del Garda. I spent one night and a day here and I absolutely loved it. From the beaches that lie lake side to the small and easily walkable town centre that hosts markets for both food and nick-nacks and the beautiful views that can be seen from a short walk up on top of the hills, Peschiera Del Garda is truly stunning. The only down side to this great town is that it is a tourist destination and because of that, finding good, authentic and cheap food is a little tricky. Pretty much all of the restaurants seem to be aimed at tourists, I did find a spectacular gelateria though, but then where in Italy doesn’t do good gelato?! I think this is a beautiful option for a laid-back relaxing holiday and may be a better choice than Lake Como for people who like a small town vibe.
